Monday Cover Vol. 2 Issue 51 - Rion Linderman

Alice Cooper made the anthem and the Burnside crew made the shrine. Check out this week’s Monday Cover skater, Rion “Scissorhands” Linderman, as he liens one in leather during the Halloween anniversary celebration at Burnside. That’s one great costume for trimming bush(es). Also, a big thanks to Shawn Reinert for the great Burnside photos. See more photos after the turn.

Congratulations Rion and Happy 18th Burnside!

Shawn Reinert - Gap-up 180 @ Newberg

What the hey? If you’ve skated Newberg, you know how difficult it is to find the speed to even make this transfer, let alone throw in a 180. Well, Shawn did it and here’s the shot to prove it. You can check out more photos of Shawn over at his gallery on the Earth Patrol Network. Way to go Little Bob! See a larger version of the image after the turn.

New ‘Crete on Highway 82

Snowmass, CO - Dreamland

About halfway between Carbondale and Aspen lies the town of Snowmass, Colorado. Why do you care? Well, Snowmass is the location of a new Dreamland creation. Skater, sometimes fisherman, Shawn Reinert was kind enough to bring us back some pictures of the newly finished park and it looks great. Highway 82 is quickly becoming skatepark alley with parks in Carbondale (Grindline), Aspen (Team Pain) and now Snowmass (Dreamland). Check out some pictures of the park in the gallery.

Up, Up and Away

Monday Cover Vol. 2 Issue 26 - Shawn Reinert

We’re not sure if this week’s Monday Cover skater, Shawn Reinert, ever came back to earth? When we took this pic, he was still gaining altitude. That’s one big frontside air in one killer bowl. Viva la Pier Park.

Congratulations Shawn!

Land of the Lost

Monday Cover 51 - Shawn Reinert

Who puts a T-Rex in a skate park? Dreamland, of course. Who lofts a backside air over that T-Rex? Well, this week’s Monday Cover skater, Shawn Reinert, did it a few times during the opening celebration at Tigard.

Congratulations Shawn and we were wondering if you might consider wearing a Chaka suit next time?

Hip Bones

Monday Cover 46 - Shawn Reinert

We took a little trip over the weekend and look what happened. Shawn Reinert, this week’s Monday Cover skater, boned a sweet FS air over one of the hips of the DRW Bowl. This bowl is SICK!. Speed, speed and more speed can be had here. It’s amazing what a little collaboration between a math teacher and Dreamland can produce.

Congratulation Shawn and many thanks to the DRW crew for their hospitality.

Vancouver Tag Removal

Earlier this week, a few of us went up to Vancouver to help remove tags from their new skatepark. Around 100 different tags had to be removed before the soft opening on Friday. MC, Doug, Shawn, Rich and the local contract crew spent the better part of two days working on tag removal alone. Here are a few pics from the clean-up effort along with our reward session for helping out.
