A member of the plastic man clan, this week’s Monday Cover skater, Shawn Reinert, tucks a mean air over the hip at the Bass bowl. We found Paul Bunyan’s helmet and it’s in Polson, Montana. No kidding, Dreamland built the worlds only skateable helmet, as far as we know, and it’s a blast. Check out Jason, Jeff, Shawn M., Shawn R., M.C. and K.C. finding their lines inside of this monument to head safety along with a few bonus shots after the turn. EPM “we can skate if we want to” Out!

Last Friday evening, the local skate community came out to support an art exhibit and benefit for Above Coping, a non profit organization dedicated to providing support and new experiences for youth skateboarders with chronic health conditions. EPIC Indoor Skatepark provided the perfect environment for the kids to shred as well as expose themselves to the fine art of Tyler ‘Junior’ Cole, Shawn ‘Little Bob’ Reinert and Randy ‘Kilwag’ Gawlik. Check out a few images from the evening after the turn. EPM “thriving, not just surviving” Out!
This week’s Monday Cover skater, Mike Barnes, opts for the line less traveled during the 2010 Oregon Trifecta. Stretching out a frontside invert through the corner at Tigard, Mike makes an insanely difficult move look routine. Check out a few more pics of Mike chilling “Darkness style” at this year’s Trifecta after the turn.
Congratulations Mike!
Uhhh, yeah, a bit of flexibility is required along with some, as our spanish speaking friends say, cojones when pulling tuck knee airs like this one in the deep at Pier Park. It’s just another day at the office for this week’s Monday Cover skater, Shawn Reinert. Check out more pics of Shawn venturing into rare air after the turn.
Congratulations Shawn!
What you, what you want? Corner airs at Pier Park? You’ve got it. Check out Shawn and MC reconnecting with an old friend after the turn.
