If you skate in the Northwest, an indoor skate bunker is a hot commodity during the wetter months of the year. Taking full advantage of one of those skate bunkers is this week’s Monday Cover skater, Bryce Kanights. That’s one stylin’ smith on the DoS bowl lip. A man with a multitude of irons in the proverbial skateboarding fire( SkateDaily.net, Lifeblood Skateboards, Skaters for Portland Skateparks, Photographer, …), Bryce still finds time to refine his skate chops. Check out a few more pics of Bryce “lofting his jive” at DoS bowl after the turn.
Congratulations Bryce!
This week’s Monday Cover is dedicated to the Burnside Skatepark and everyone that has made and continues to make it one of the best places on the planet to skate. Dare we say, Skate Mecca. Check out some of the shredding that went down during this year’s celebration after the turn. Interested in donating to the park, click this link to donate.
Congratulations Burnside!
Floating an ollie on his Sorcery stick is this week’s Monday Cover skater, Steve Grover. That’s one refined frontside ollie. On the mend from a broken left arm, it’s good to see Steve back in the mix. Check out a few more pics of Steve rehabbing on the vert after the turn.
Congratulations Steve!
What better way to spend a Labor Day weekend than riding some fresh vert terrain? Affirming said strategy is this week’s Monday Cover skater, Mark Conahan, with his always styling frontside airs. Mark was jumping with joy at the chance to ride a sweet vert ramp. Don’t believe it? We have the proof after the turn. EPM “labor to shred and shred to labor” Out!
Congratulations Mark!
A palindrome it is not but for skaters in Southeast Portland, this week’s Monday Cover skater, Colin Sharp, has given the community a bit of skate solace. Like Theodore Roosevelt, Colin had a vision and found the means to make it happen. Unlike Theodore Roosevelt, Colin can snap a mean ollie. So in honor of Colin and all that he gives to the Portland skate community, a big thank you. Check out a few more pics of Colin about the Brooklyn Street skate spot after the turn.
Congratulations Colin!

This week’s Monday Cover skater, Tim Bowers, rocks the red, white and blue while finessing a fakie ollie to smith stall at the Treasure bowl. Tim was “all in” during last year’s ten year anniversary of the Treasure bowl. Good times and great skating. Keep the stoke flag flying! Check out a few more pics of Tim after the turn.
Congratulations Tim!
How about some East Coast skate action courtesy of Packy Fancher. Holding it down for Cockfight Skateboards and ACE trucks, Packy shreds the heck out of a nice tile lined bowl at Veterans Skatepark. Check out the video after the turn.
Who is this mighty skating man? Why, it’s none other than this week’s Monday Cover skater, K.C. Cote, mid-monty stall at Estacada. Just sit right back and you’ll see a tale, a tale of a skate trip. It’s a tiny adventure to Estacada to skateboard about the lip. Check it after the turn.
Congratulations K.C.!
Truck on out and spread the news! It’s this week’s Monday Cover skater, Steve Grover getting a little rock-n-roll hoochie koo in the Sisters pool. A broken left arm doesn’t stop old Steve from doin’ the concrete boogie. Check out a few more pics of Steve after the turn.
Congratulations Steve!
