Those are the seasonal colors here in the good ol’ U.S.A., currently entertaining the globe with our sweet government cables. Also, red and green are the color choices for the Duane Peters’ limited edition benefit boards about to hit the streets. The folks over at Deluxe teamed up with skartist(skater+artist) Lance Mountain on the project with all proceeds going to help D.P. with medical bills. Head over to Deluxe and grab a few for the skaters in your life. EPM “invert-truck-bonk-to-revert” Out!
Thanks to SkateDaily.net for the heads-up.
While doing some research on the old Skatercross skate park, we stumbled upon an awesome gallery of photos from skate-days-gone-by at Marina Del Rey. If you skated in the late 70’s/early 80’s, you know that Marina was one of the premier skate parks of the time and it attracted many of the heavy shredders. Over thirty-one years in the making courtesy of photographer David Scott, check out this week’s Foto-Friday in the gallery below. Also, be sure to check out larger versions of the photos featured in the banner after the turn. Can you name the skaters? EPM “now where’s my fly-away and gyros” Out!

The Beta vs. VHS wars were going strong during the 1979 Winchester Open and that’s exactly where we are heading on this week’s Yuri’s 80’s Re-Vert Fantasy Skate. Skateboarding as well as broadcast technology has come a long way in 30 years. Check out all the gee golly action after the turn and be sure to listen to some of the music playing during the runs.
This week’s Monday Cover skater, Duane Peters, needs no introduction. There are few people who have had as much of an impact on skateboarders and skateboarding as Duane. Always the innovator and branded “The Master of Disaster”, we can thank Duane for sweepers, lay-back rollouts, invert-reverts and our all-time favorite indy air. We’re hoping this year’s Oregon Trifecta Pier Park stop will entice Duane and the Upland crew to make the trip. Check out few pics of Mr. Peters skating Lincoln City and Pier Park during the 2007 Trifecta after the turn.
Congratulations Duane!

Check out a few snaps from opening night after the turn.
