If Einstürzende Neubauten and KMFDM had a love-child band, it might sound something like Rammstein. How can you not like a band that wears space suits and sings about Amerika while rhyming “wunderbar” with wonder bra. Yes! Now go get your YouTube Tuesday kick in the gut. EPM Out!

Believe or not, it’s the 2nd anniversary for Monday Covers here on Earth Patrol. In celebration, we kick off the start of our 3rd year with a familiar face, Donovan Rice. It’s somewhat of an arbitrary tradition at this point but Donovan has kicked off each year’s series of Monday Covers for the last two years: Vol. 1-Issue 1, Vol. 2-Issue 1. If you’ve seen Donovan skate, you know why we titled this post “Born to Skate.” Check out some more pics of Donovan after the turn.
Congratulations Donovan!
Each year, prior to the Halloween Burnside session, local Seattle/Portland artist Jaymeer turns the skatepark into his canvas. His Thrasher-like cover art on the bank wall is genius and is the backdrop for many of this week’s Foto-Friday shots. Check out all the shots after the turn including K.C.’s Burnside Halloween photos.
If you are in or around Central Washington, be sure to stop and sample Grindline’s latest creation, the recently opened Yakima Skatepark. If you have any photos of folks shredding the park, feel free to share them on the Earth Patrol Network. Show us the rad! Also, check out the new Grindline website for all the dirt on existing and upcoming Grindline projects. EPM Out!

The Hood River skatepark is getting a makeover and Carl Warren has been documenting the changes. Check out a few images of the vert ramp deconstruction in preparation for the new covered plaza area after the turn.
Let’s mix it up a little on this week’s YouTube Tuesday with a trip down memory lane. Check out some of the TV commercials bombarding our senses during the skate boom of the 70’s and early 80’s. A few of them even include some skateboarding. Oh Yeah!
Who’s Phil Tedder? Besides being this week’s Monday Cover skater, he’s the dude that makes your grinds more enjoyable. Maybe you’ve heard the term Tedder’s coping? If not, get with the program and go grind some of his coping. Better yet, buy some for your DIY spot.
Congratulations Phil!
Long live skateboarding and long live vert ramp skating as well. That being said, check out a few pics from this year’s AST Dew Tour in Portland. It’s insane the amount of air these skaters are catching. Now if only we had an indoor vert ramp like that here in Portland. Anyone have a warehouse they might be willing to donate?

Colorado is on fire. Quality skateparks are popping-up all over the state and this week’s featured EPM Net contributor, Kevin Decker (a.k.a Kvon), is reaping the benefits in more ways than one. In addition to skating, Kevin takes some great photos and was kind enough to share them. The black and white shot of the skater, pavement, and house is one of our favorites. Check out this picture and others after the turn.
The raindrops are falling and skaters are taking cover. Here are few photos from a pre-presidential election session at a private bowl. Check out Liz, Barry, Shawn and MC as they skate and debate. Enjoy!
