A couple of bands you may or may not have discovered but well worth a few minutes of your auditory attention. First up and now defunct, The Pulsars, a Chicago based sibling duo, Dave and Harry Trumfio have a sound that appeals to our upbeat robot sensibilities. Next up, is Brooklyn, NY’s Black Marble. Their sound sets squarely at the nexus of Joy Division, OMD and early Depeche Mode. Perfect for those darker days heading into the winter months. Listen up after the turn. EPM Tuning In….

Hopefully everyone has been getting their “skate on” over the last few months. Here at EPM, we’ve been busy working on some cool side projects. Check it out along with some videos from another one of our favorite artists, Elastica, after the turn. EPM “what’s the connection” Out!

Talk about your random finds on the inter-webs. It seems there’s a YouTube channel by the name of SportskoolPlus dedicated to …
… fitness, yoga, exercise, sports instruction and coaching.
Who knew? There’s a nice piece on learning to skate featuring Omar Hassan in the mid-bowl at Pier Park. Sure wish they would have opted for the correct spelling when branding their channel though. Check it out after the turn. EPM “Remember kids, stay in school spelling counts” Out!

It’s unseasonably cold in Portland and what better reason to free associate a few music videos. It’s all about “Big Heads” on this week’s YouTube Tuesday installment. It’s also an opportunity to post some rad Devo footage. Check out all the big heads after the turn. EPM “yeah x 12” Out!

Time changes and jet stream fluctuations have led to more time spent surfing the interwebs. As a result, we stumbled across a sweet little skate related music video featuring Jan and Dean shredding it up on American Bandstand. Check it out, along with a few other period music videos, after the turn. EPM “three hundred and sixty” Out!

How about some East Coast skate action courtesy of Packy Fancher. Holding it down for Cockfight Skateboards and ACE trucks, Packy shreds the heck out of a nice tile lined bowl at Veterans Skatepark. Check out the video after the turn.

Two bands. Two different sounds. Both cool as fornication under consent of the king. Girls Names out of Belfast and FIDLAR from the alley behind your house. Cochlear titillations after the turn.
