Benefit Closing

Closing of Art Benefit for Fernhill Skatepark @ Extracto Roasters

Come on over to Extracto Roasters on Saturday afternoon, October 27th from 4-6 p.m., for the closing of the Fernhill Skatepark art benefit. There are still plenty of great photos for purchase and all proceeds go to building another “sick” skatepark here in our fine city. When the going gets tough, well, the tough get going. It’s time to build more skateparks folks and here’s your opportunity to contribute and/or get involved. On Thursday, Oct. 4th, from 6-8pm come check out over 60 images for sale in support of the Fernhill Skatepark at Extracto Coffee House. Don’t fret, if you can’t make the opening, the art will be up all month and available for purchase. A mere $35 per print with all proceeds going directly to making Fernhill skatepark a reality. Monday Cover Vol. 6 Issue 9 - Mark Conahan

Sometimes what’s old is new again. Case in point, this sweet Tunnel setup as piloted by this week’s Monday Cover skater, Mark Conahan. That’s one styling frontside air on a piece of skate history. A pair of Tracker trucks, some Tunnel Rocks, a Tunnel 7-Ply(8″x28″) and you’re good to go. Check out more pics of Mark in a temporal skate warp after the turn. Fair Weather Skate Tornado

Monday Cover Vol. 6 Issue 8 - Chad Fenlon

It seems the town of Aumsville experienced a fair weather skate tornado this weekend. At approximately 3:30 pm on Saturday, April 14th, under mostly sunny skies, this week’s Monday Cover skater, Chad Fenlon dropped into the Aumsville skatepark, shredding everything in site. Witnesses mentioned this a common occurrence at the park and seemed at ease with the whole event. Check out more of Chad’s skate devastation after the turn.

Sixteen Skatepark on the Sixteenth

Last Saturday was February 16th. What’s so special about February 16th, you ask? Well, it’s the day two skate crews, one in the Southwest and the other in the Northwest, attempted to skate 16 parks in a single day. Get the scoop on the Southwest crew’s adventures over at Old Man Army; it was their big idea.

The Northwest crew focused their efforts on skateparks in and around Portland, OR. It was an exhausting adventure for sure and the concept proved to be more romantic than the actual implementation. Come along on the sixteen park tour after the turn….
