How about the hang time on this lofty frontside air courtesy of this week’s Monday Cover skater, Jake Selover. That’s no joke. Jake was laying down the lines during last year’s Unifecta at Pier Park. This week’s Monday Cover skater, Ben Johnson, kills it with style. Holding it down for Embassy Skateboards, Ben slides a lien tail across the lip at Pier Park during this year’s Oregon “Trifecta”. Texas in the house, Todd Prince t-shirt and cuffed jeans are a go. Stoked!

One of the new brood for Bacon Skateboards, Kaden killed it during this year’s Trifecta at Pier Park taking top honors for the 15 and under division. Are you looking to put your skate karma back in balance? Well, tomorrow, Saturday April 21st, presents at least two of these opportunities. First up is the annual clean up at Pier Park from 9am-1pm. Come on out and help spruce up the first skatepark built as part of Portland’s 19 skatepark plan. Next up on the skate karma tour is a benefit for the Brooklyn Street skate spot at Plan B. Fernhill park is one of the sites identified as part of the 2006 City of Portland’s 19 skatepark plan. A 10,000 square foot skatepark is planned for Fernhill; note this is roughly the same size as the existing Pier Park skatepark. A goal of this page is to revive/continue a dialog focused on the realization of the Fernhill Skatepark.
