Steve and Randy, a.k.a. Grover and Kilwag, are the magic behind Cold War Skateboards. If you know anything about skateboarding, you know the Northwest is a hot bed of cool skate companies and Cold War is one of them. This is truly a basement operation and each deck is assembled and finished right here in Portland, OR. It’s M&M wood so you know it’s good. Check them out the next time you are in the market for a new stick.
Last weekend, we took a little trip out to Lincoln City for Sleestock v3.0. Our trip to the coast was slightly delayed when Polar 3’s engine became hot as balls after a water hose failure. No worries though, Grover came to the rescue with his superior Vanagon repair skills; see GVK for some video footage.
When we arrived in Lincoln City, Sleestock was in full swing and folks seemed to be preoccupied with the recently added snakerun. Check out some of the action from Saturday and Sunday after the turn.

In celebration of Earth Day, we thought you might like to see some of the cleanup action at Pier Park last Saturday. The weather was perfect for the cleanup activities. Thanks to everyone that came out and helped. The park looks great. Check out some photos after the turn.
