Yep, Forks, the last stop on our whirlwind Olympic Peninsula tour. Grindline did a great job on this park. The bowl finish is super smooth and the custom tile work is a nice touch. Other interesting features include a cool bricked stamped wall with coping, a concrete ribbon, a rock hit and a linear street section. The locals seemed stoked on their park as well they should be, it’s a good one. Check out the gallery for all the photos. Forks is worth the drive.
Cool park. Wow, Forks is way the heck out there in the middle of nowhere. What’s the drive time?
I think the brick bank should have had no coping or parking blocks instead.
That pool looks fun as hell.
That Park looks fun as hell. Unique for sure.
Looks fun, what are the stats on that deep end?
The bowl is in the neighborhood of 9 feet in the deep.
Wow! Love the tile work. The tile and unsupported mini-thing are artistic without being gloppy or losing function. The shallow end looks like a tight space with mellow transitions, a combination I’m not wild about, but I’d be stoked to live in Forks.
Nice documentatuion of teen pregnancy in Forks, WA., interesting studies.
I dig the tile. This looks like a fun park. Simple, smart design.
no vampires though, right?
We saw a sign stating something like “welcome racers and vampires.” Didn’t see any actual bloodsuckers on this bright sunny day, but you never know what happens at night…
we love the bowl. the rolly polly rocks!! Forks rules, the best place to live and skate in!!
