Snake with a Tail

Gabriel Skatepark

The Airspeed crew is making good progress at Gabriel Park. A couple of sections are poured and the snake is starting to take shape. One of the many cool features is the snake tail that rises out of the middle half of the run. It’s both creative and functional. This park is going to be fun. Skater design/build skateparks rule! See all the naked skatepark photos after the turn.

Session the Hood

Hood Session at Battle Ground

Sometimes the little things get lost in an expansive park like Battle Ground. For example, the lines on the back side of the cradle or what we will call the hood. So without further delay, check out Jack, Brad, Grover and MC sharing some hood love.

Total Mayhem

Foto-Friday for May 2, 2008

Here it is, this week’s official Foto-Friday. Check out over fifty photos of all the shredding during the Cal Skate Street Jam. Let’s hope this is an annual event. Enjoy.

Wild in the Streets

Cal Skate Jam - Sixth Ave. Street Fair

The gents down at Cal Skates took it to the streets. As part of the 6th Avenue Street Fair, Paul, Damon and Tyler made some sick ramps for folks to skate during the festivities. We have a load of pics to look through and promise to get them up by this weekend. In the meantime, enjoy a few pics of the Cal Skate crew shreddin’ after the turn.

Stairway to Jerome

In addition to skating, we spent some time hanging out in Jerome, a small town just south of Sedona. There isn’t a skatepark but there is a wicked downhill through the town and this 27 stair just waiting for action. Click on the pic for a larger view.

Once a booming mining town and now a thriving art community, Jerome is great place to chill. EPM out!

Interstate Love Child

Tempe, Arizona Skatepark

When you mash-up Oregon and Arizona, what do you get? Orezona, of course. Old Man Army’s Orezona(a.k.a. Andy) met us at the Tempe park for an early afternoon session. Thanks Andy and the rest of the O.M.A crew for all the hospitality while we were in Arizona. It was much appreciated.

Let’s hope Andy doesn’t move to Kentucky. Why? Well, then we would have to call him Orezonatucky. Check out Orezona getting his skate on after the turn.
