You might have noticed that Callin’ on Colin has been absent from the airwaves as of recent and all the links to the show archives not working. Well, do not fear our fine skate radio listeners, Colin is in transition. Yep, word has it that Colin is going rogue and will be moving his future shows to Skate and Annoy. What’s a skate radio fan to do in the meantime? Well, we’ve got you covered. That’s right, all 32 episodes of Callin’ on Colin are cached right here on Earth Patrol for your listening enjoyment. So while you wait in anticipation for the second coming of Colin, you can review all of his past shows after the turn. EPM “So how do you know Colin?” Out!
Why? Well, the popcorn is free and food vendors will be on location as well. What? Really? Yep, no kidding, Portland Parks and Recreation has just the thing for the skateboard loving, movie going folks, a screening of Deathbowl to Downtown at the Glenhaven Skate Park this Friday, August 13th. Be sure to get there early for a pre-movie shred along with some entertainment provided by the (PETA approved) Cat Jugglers. Check out all the details on the flier after the turn. Oh, and be sure to look for multiple misspellings of Randy Gawlik’s name in the credits. EPM “Randie Glawik” Out!
From Elliott Smith to a Lemmy Kilmister look-alike, this week’s Monday Cover skater, Randy Gawlik loves him some pool corners. You can bet if there’s a tight and/or janky corner in a pool, Randy will be focused on finding a line through it.
Congratulations Randy!
This week’s Monday Cover skater, Randy Gawlik, makes the paint chips fly while powering through a slappy. Take that you little yellow curb. Check out a few more pics of Randy’s paint removal technique after the turn.
Happy birthday and congratulations Randy!
It’s that time of year here in Oregon where the weather gets nice for about a week or so and you think Spring is on the way. Forget it, it’s just a big weather pump-fake or in skateboarding terms, pump-fakie. This week’s featured Monday Cover skater, Randy Gawlik (aka Kilwag), took full advantage of the weather reprieve and called upon the lords of acid drop at the Woodland, WA skatepark.
Congratulations Randy!
Last Friday evening, the local skate community came out to support an art exhibit and benefit for Above Coping, a non profit organization dedicated to providing support and new experiences for youth skateboarders with chronic health conditions. EPIC Indoor Skatepark provided the perfect environment for the kids to shred as well as expose themselves to the fine art of Tyler ‘Junior’ Cole, Shawn ‘Little Bob’ Reinert and Randy ‘Kilwag’ Gawlik. Check out a few images from the evening after the turn. EPM “thriving, not just surviving” Out!
