… would shred as sweet. Shakespeare anyone? This week’s Monday Cover, Zion O’Friel, the skater previously known as Michael, lofts a big ollie to tail smack in the Dew Tour bowl. If ever there’s a role for a young skateboarding Joaquin Phoenix, this week’s Monday Cover skater, Michael O’Friel just might fit the bill. Here he is styling a frontside nose grind at the West Linn stop of the 2010 Oregon Trifecta. Michael is another benefactor of great Northwest concrete and he takes full advantage. Check out Michael copping some serious “shred-itude” after the turn.

Better late than never. Closing out our 2008 Trifecta coverage is the Pro division of the final stop in Battle Ground, WA. The Bacon crew took the top three spots in a heated battle for Corn Cup supremacy. Congratulations Benji, Tim and Kevin, we’ll see you next year. It was hot as a dragon’s breath during the Tigard stop of the 2008 Trifecta but that didn’t stop the pros from just killing it. The field was massive with over 70 skaters competing for the cash. With that many skaters zooming around on fast Dreamland ‘crete, a few mishaps are bound to happen. Aside from a few minor injuries, the contest was a huge success. Pure skateboarding mayhem went down along with some tunes and a few fireworks. Check out over 100 photos from the Pro ranks in the gallery.
