Calling Will Ferrell

Sleestock 2009 @ Hood River Skatepark

If ever there was a Will Ferrell appropriate skate event, Sleestock is it. Not only does he star in the remake of Land of the Lost featuring Sleestaks, his character in Old School fits perfectly with the celebratory atmosphere that is Sleestock. So pack light (see required items in the above image) and shred your face-off. Don’t miss Sleestock v4.0 at the Hood River Skatepark this weekend, Saturday-Sunday, June 6-7, 2009. Also check out some great photos of Hood River skate happenings over on Carl Warren’s EPM Network page.

Update: Shawn’s pics from Sleestock 2009!

Done for Now

Hood River Skatepark - Hood River, Oregon

The word from the folks in Hood River is that the concrete pouring is done for now. It about time they took a break. At the rate they were going, the entire City of Hood River would have been a skatepark by Fall. Thanks to local skater and photographer, Carl Warren, for capturing some of the activity at the park. Check out a gallery of Carl’s photos after the turn.

Undercover

Hood River Roof

Not only does it keep the weather at bay, it’s photogenic. What is it? Why, it’s the recently erected roof at the Hood River skatepark. So knotty. Check out some of Carl’s photos over on the Earth Patrol Network for a better view. EPM out!

Gearing Up

Foto-Friday on EPM: Battle Ground, Washington

It’s time, once again, for another Foto-Friday. This week, we travel North to Battle Ground for a mid-Winter session. Believe it or not, it’s difficult deciding which direction to head from Portland now that we have some great skate options: North to Battle Ground, South to Newberg, East to Hood River or West to Lincoln City. Bummer, huh? Oh well, somebody has to make the tough decisions. Check out all the pics in the gallery below.

Take Note!

Hood River Roof

Looks like the crew in Hood River is serious about skating year round. Carl Warren posted a few pics of the soon to be realized cover for a portion of the Hood River Skatepark. Those are some nice trusses.

Lip Boogie

BK and Donovan @ Hood River

Bryce meets Rice during last summer’s Gorge Games. BK tries to give Donovan a little wiggle room on the lip and Carl freezes the moment for posterity. Thanks again to Carl for flowing the great images. See the action after the turn.
