Well, as they say, art is in the eye of the beholder. Check out all the “elevated rock” on this week’s YouTube Tuesday after the turn. EPM “ripping our eardrums” Out!

  • Got love some prog rock!

  • What?… No Dragonforce?

  • You gotta love those album cover designs.

  • Cal: [Pointing to a framed poster] I mean, seriously, Asia? You framed an Asia poster? How hard did the people at the frame store laugh when you brought this in?
Andy Stitzer: They did not laugh at me.
David: Know why you’re gay? Because you like Asia.

  • I think I would have had Rush, King Crimson, and ELP in there instead of Europe (hair metal), Styx (70’s “corporate”), and Asia (ex-Yes turned corporate to cash in), or am I mixing up my Art Rock with my Prog Rock? Hell, I don’t know, I just know what I like.

  • The Final Countdown intro is guaranteed to annoy/delite when done acapella. I had no idea the lyrics were also fantastic.

Asia and Yes: loved ’em both circa ’82.
