We find ourselves at Mt. Trashmore circa 1985 on this week’s edition of Yuri’s 80’s Re-Vert Fantasy Skate. The sky is blue, the ramp is white and the skating is red hot. Just like last time, Yuri wants to know your top 5 skaters along with your pick for best trick. Check out all the sun drenched, 80’s East coast beach culture shredding after the turn. anything by jeff philips. tony hawk cab pivot was sick, i know that as a mini ramp trick..
Phillips. Losi in this one and the Houston vid. Billy Ruff’s air over the channel to tailtap sketch.
Hawk
Phillips
Mountain
Ruff
McGill
Cab’s Miller flip across the channel or Lance’s channel invert to fakie and sick McTwist,
Worst decision goes to that Losi rock and roll to fakie to 180 rock and roll to fakie thing.
I was there , it was great. Still remember it from 25 years ago.
“the sky is blue, the ramp is white and the skating is red hot” nice touch
Phillips 33 to Phillips 66. That 540 slob attempt by Kasai. Tony Hawk’s alley-oop bs ollie over the onion.
1. Gator driving through the police barricade and starting a mini riot with VB’s finest that resulted in him being carted off to the pokey and a few smashed out cop car windows.
2. The two rad and mad chicks that got into it at the honey buckets and starting pullin out hair and shredding each other’s clothes and faces.
Great sk8 times in VB during the 80’s….
1 Hawk
2 Phillips
3 Mountain
4 Caballero
5 Lester
Best Trick Easy Phillips Bonless in.
Hawk
Phillips
Mountain
Ruff
Cab
Since Hosoi was out, McGill took it upon himself to meet the excessive roll in quota. 😀
Was that ramp 9’ish?
Best trick: Mountains Mctwist was huge and proper. He included that signature “flip the last 180 over” the way Mike does them.
I think that ramp was 10.5 I also think Fudala designed it. All Hail FUD. If you showed up after 5 pm and had any hesitation on the deck to get in the session you were’nt in the session. BAM.
