Well, if you grew up in the late 60’s and were exposed to Ray Harryhausen movies, that included a lumbering, wool chapped cyclops that dined on humans, it may have been a concern. How great were movies like The 7th Voyage of Sinbad and Jason and the Argonauts? Pure genius in our opinion. Many a rainy afternoon were consumed watching Ray’s films. If you haven’t experienced all that is Harryhausen, do yourself a favor and rent one from your local video store. Check out all the video clips after the turn. EPM “Holy crap, here comes that cyclops again.” Run!

I love him so much I once named a cat Ray Harryhausen…
I loved these movies too!
Still worthy to consume a rainy afternoon! Time to get digital versions though, mine is still a VHS collection 🙁
Those ladies from the Sinbad movies were smoken hot!
Those were the best! Good animation of any kind was hard to find back then.
We would get our hands on the tv guide and find the movies to plan our week around (no DVR in my childhood).
If it was a Ray movie, it was a sure bet we would be watching it every time.
good times on a Saturday for sure ,yeah on the babes !
oh yeah! Please don’t forget “20 million miles to earth” or “the valley of Guangi” both are epic RH at his best. Sure you got loads of better “animation” stuff going on these days, but RH did it with love… and all these years later it still shows. Fighting skeletons? cyclops? SICK!
