Forget about the future, check-out Brogan Robinson now. We captured him in low earth orbit for this week’s edition of Monday Covers. Brogan is a team rider for Rebel Skates and he does the crew proud with this lofty BS air. Not only does Newberg have one of the best skateparks on the planet, it’s also producing some great talent.

I wanted to take this opportunity to share with everyone a small glimpse into the life of Ben Shipman, my best friend. I met Ben in 1971 as a 1st Grader at Oxford Elementary. Oxford is a small town of about 1,800 people in northwest Indiana. Ben and I quickly became best friends and made the best of growing up in a typical small Midwest town. Our friendship was rooted in our drive to create and explore our little slice of Americana. We were typical 70’s kids and filled those years of life with forays into remote control airplanes, model rockets, explosives, photography, and making 8mm movies.
Check out all of the cameras trained on Danny Tumia(a.k.a. Skeletor) at the recent Irrigon Skatepark grand opening. We count at least six including the one that took this picture. Now if only we could get Bigfoot or a UFO to attend a skatepark opening, we might get a few pics. Click on the picture for a larger image.
Opening day at Glenhaven Skatepark was a great success. This park has something for everyone and based on the smiles, it was done right. Thanks again to the Dreamland crew for another skate gem. Check out some of the images from opening day after the turn.
