One of the best skate sessions on the planet goes down every October 31st under the Burnside bridge. It’s the annual Burnside Birthday/Halloween bash. As usual, the skating and folk’s Halloween costumes were spot on. Check out the action in the gallery including a bonus gallery from Shawn “Little Bob” Reinert. Cheers to Burnside for 19 years of concrete skate therapy.

This week’s edition of Foto-Friday features the ladies competition at the Pier Park stop of this year’s Oregon Bifecta. There was plenty of shredding and we managed to catch some of the action. Check it out in the gallery.

Lab coats secured and pocket protectors in place as we study the coriolis effect on skaters from the Southern hemisphere at MC’s bowl. Representing skaters south of the equator and the primary subjects under observation, Mel and Noah. Our Northern hemisphere control group consisted of Arron, Randy, Owen and MC. Montana Pool Service Sessions
Hope you like leftovers, ’cause that’s what you’re getting on this week’s edition of Foto-Friday. Better than cold pizza, here are some shots from a couple of late summer sessions at Pier Park and MC’s bowl. In addition to daredevils and mining, Butte, Montana contains a patch of Dreamland. The crew was a bit leg weary from the drive between Helena and Butte but that didn’t deter folks from shredding it up. Check out the crew getting their fill in the gallery on this week’s edition of Foto-Friday. Also, if you find yourself in Butte and your looking to skate the park, make sure you pack a broom with you to sweep out the broken glass tossed in by the non-skating locals.

So what’s a Barge-a-Que? Simply, it was a way to celebrate Cal Skates‘ 33 and 1/3 anniversary while enjoying some food and skateboarding at Pier Park. If you answered Helena, give yourself one geography point. As part of our whirlwind tour to Montana, we sampled the recently completed Dreamland creation/modifications to the Helena skatepark. The park is well worth the visit with it’s varied terrain that includes a large street flow section, a doughnut bowl and a large three-bowl with a cool loveseat hip.
