Tumbleweed Tour

Tumbleweed Tour on Earth Patrol

A few weeks back, we took a little road trip out to eastern Oregon and Washington for some end-of-summer skate action. Rolling in the friendly confines of the GVK mobile, we hit Hood River, Irrigon, Echo, Pendleton, Milton-Freewater and Walla Walla on our weekend adventure. Check out a few snaps of our journey after the turn on this week’s foto-friday. EPM “experimenting with new technology” Out!

Day One

Gorge to Irrigon - Tumbleweed Tour

The first day of the trip included a scenic drive out the Gorge and skate stops in Irrigon, Echo and Pendleton. Also on the day’s agenda was some swimming in the Columbia river and a bit of ditch hunting in the small town of Echo.

Day Two

Echo to Pendleton - Tumbleweed Tour

Day two of the trip was a shorter day of driving between Pendleton and Walla Walla but included driving in a hay field after a coyote, running out of gas in the van and coasting into Milton-Freewater, eating cheap tacos at a secret watering hole, shots of tequila at a cowboy bar in Pendleton in celebration of Grover’s birthday, a late night skate session at the Pendleton park and, finally, a drive to Celilo for camping.

Day Three

Milton-Freewater to Walla Walla - Tumbleweed Tour

The third and final day of the trip included stops in the Dalles for breakfast, some skating in Hood River, a trip to the fish hatchery at the Bonneville Dam, as well as our final destination, Portland. Team Tumbleweed over and out.
