Opening night at Bryce’s art show, Renegades and Role Models, was buzzing with activity. Great photography and good folks makes for good times. If you haven’t checked the show out, well, you better put it on your priority list for this weekend since the show only runs to Monday, February 23rd. Check out a few snaps from opening night after the turn.

It was hot as a dragon’s breath during the Tigard stop of the 2008 Trifecta but that didn’t stop the pros from just killing it. The field was massive with over 70 skaters competing for the cash. With that many skaters zooming around on fast Dreamland ‘crete, a few mishaps are bound to happen. Aside from a few minor injuries, the contest was a huge success. Pure skateboarding mayhem went down along with some tunes and a few fireworks. Check out over 100 photos from the Pro ranks in the gallery.

Late Thursday afternoon, Tigard officially dedicated the recently built Jim Griffith Memorial Skatepark. (Click on the pic above) The first thing we noticed as we entered the park was the absence of rule #3 from the park rules sign. Kudos to the City of Tigard for responding to public concern. A big shout out to our Constitution and our Democratic process. Now let’s get down to skating and celebrating those freedoms.
