If ever there’s a role for a young skateboarding Joaquin Phoenix, this week’s Monday Cover skater, Michael O’Friel just might fit the bill. Here he is styling a frontside nose grind at the West Linn stop of the 2010 Oregon Trifecta. Michael is another benefactor of great Northwest concrete and he takes full advantage. Check out Michael copping some serious “shred-itude” after the turn.

The Northwest is chock full of skate talent and this week’s Monday Cover skater, Sky Siljeg, is at the forefront. Here he is “styling out” a frontside air during the West Linn stop of the 2010 Oregon Trifecta. Weaned on some of the best concrete parks on the planet, Sky’s skating is saturated with soul. Unlike the legendary Tantanoola Tiger, this Aussie cat is for real as well as this week’s Monday Cover skater. It’s RJ Barbaro, floating either a half-cab or frontside ollie-to-fakie during the West Linn stop of the 2010 Oregon Trifecta. RJ was on track to take the overall Trifecta title had it not been for a pre-contest injury at Tigard. Check out more pics of RJ tearing it up after the turn and hopefully, we’ll see him at next year’s event.

In addition to blistering the lip with his high speed grinds, the inventor of the JimJam and Gray Slide is one of the true ambassadors of skateboarding. If you like big lofty airs and fast surf style skating, Greyson Fletcher has you covered. A newcomer to the Trifecta circuit, Greyson quickly became a crowd favorite with his go-for-it attitude and some of the biggest ollies you will ever see.
