Fernhill Skatepark Benefit @ Extracto Coffee House

When the going gets tough, well, the tough get going. It’s time to build more skateparks folks and here’s your opportunity to contribute and/or get involved. On Thursday, Oct. 4th, from 6-8pm come check out over 60 images for sale in support of the Fernhill Skatepark at Extracto Coffee House. Don’t fret, if you can’t make the opening, the art will be up all month and available for purchase. A mere $35 per print with all proceeds going directly to making Fernhill skatepark a reality. Lincoln City Skatepark - Phase V 2010 on Earth Patrol

The Skaters for Lincoln City Skateparks and the Dreamland crew have been busy. Phase V of the concrete mecca that is the Lincoln City Skatepark is finished and the jury says: “the best just got better.” A skate track, square bowl with curb spine, and other various phase transition elements are now ready for your shredding consideration. Check out way too many pics of the park in the gallery below. Also, please consider donating to the Skaters for Lincoln City Skateparks to help support a great skate community and the continued evolution of the park.

Tigard Pros - Trifecta 2008

It was hot as a dragon’s breath during the Tigard stop of the 2008 Trifecta but that didn’t stop the pros from just killing it. The field was massive with over 70 skaters competing for the cash. With that many skaters zooming around on fast Dreamland ‘crete, a few mishaps are bound to happen. Aside from a few minor injuries, the contest was a huge success. Pure skateboarding mayhem went down along with some tunes and a few fireworks. Check out over 100 photos from the Pro ranks in the gallery.

Lincoln City Skatepark

Last stop, Lincoln City. What a great place to end our four day, 14 session solstice skate adventure. We’ve said this before and we will say it again, best flippin’ skatepark on the planet. This was Shawn’s first encounter with the almighty snake king and the stoke factor was high. Lincoln City locals were killing it as usual and weather couldn’t have been better. Wolf’s Blood to Polar 3

Sleestock 2008 @ Lincoln City, Oregon

Last weekend, we took a little trip out to Lincoln City for Sleestock v3.0. Our trip to the coast was slightly delayed when Polar 3’s engine became hot as balls after a water hose failure. No worries though, Grover came to the rescue with his superior Vanagon repair skills; see GVK for some video footage.

When we arrived in Lincoln City, Sleestock was in full swing and folks seemed to be preoccupied with the recently added snakerun. Check out some of the action from Saturday and Sunday after the turn.

Lincoln City Benefit Shirts, Stickers and Boards

The Lincoln City Benefit shirts and stickers are ready to go. For anyone that has bought shirts, we will be shipping them out along with some stickers this weekend. Also, we are toying with the idea of offering LC4 Benefit decks on M&M wood in the Cold War shapes pictured above. So how many folks are interested in a deck as well?

As of this posting, we have sold 50 shirts and counting. Thanks to everyone who bought a shirt in support of the Skaters for Lincoln City Skateparks.

Gnarliest Park on the Planet

Lincoln City Snake Run Banner

When Dreamland built phase one of the Lincoln City Skatepark, it was deemed the Gnarliest Park in America by Thrasher Magazine. Eight years and three more phases later, the park has graduated to the Gnarliest Park on the Planet. It’s hard to comprehend the gnar-factor of the snakerun until you experience it. In recognition and support of the Lincoln City Skatepark, we have created a t-shirt in honor of the recent snake run addition. All proceeds from the sales of these shirts go directly to offsetting costs related to the snake run. Dreamland and the local skaters have donated a lot of time, materials and money to make this snake run a reality. Support their efforts and buy a shirt or two.
