Well, the first stop of this year’s Oregon Tri gone Bifecta is in the books and here is your list of best in show. It goes something like this: Ladies – Julie Kindstrand, Masters – Buck Smith, and Pros – Kevin Kowalski. The pro finals were off the hook and the skating was about as good as it gets. Also of note was the Master’s final with Buck and none other than Mr. Lance Mountain dooling it out for top honors. Check out a few pics of Kevin and Buck as they pay their respects to Tigard’s T-Rex after the turn. See you tomorrow and stay tuned.

Let’s just start by saying that the Northwest is overflowing with great skate spots and great skaters. Case in point, this week’s Monday Cover skater, Johnny Turgesen, hucking a trademark ollie over the deathbox as MC’s bowl. It was difficult deciding on which image of Johnny to use for the cover. See why after the turn.
Congratulations Johnny!
Just in from the Merde/Bacon crew tour along the Oregon coast. This is Kevin Kowalski carving over the saucer lip at Coos Bay Skatepark. Unless someone else is claiming, this is the first skater we know of to make the line. Thanks Colin for the photo and the heads-up. Check out a larger version of the pic after the turn.
Better late than never. Closing out our 2008 Trifecta coverage is the Pro division of the final stop in Battle Ground, WA. The Bacon crew took the top three spots in a heated battle for Corn Cup supremacy. Congratulations Benji, Tim and Kevin, we’ll see you next year. Check out all the action from the Pro division in the gallery.

The Northwest crew took GvR by storm; just take a look at the names in the Pro Bowl results. Congratulations to Kevin and the rest of the Northwest posse. It’s good to see folks having fun skating and getting a little recognition as well. Check out some of Kevin’s coverage on Earth Patrol.
Update: Video of Master’s at 2008 GvR. Thanks for the tip JF.

It was hot as a dragon’s breath during the Tigard stop of the 2008 Trifecta but that didn’t stop the pros from just killing it. The field was massive with over 70 skaters competing for the cash. With that many skaters zooming around on fast Dreamland ‘crete, a few mishaps are bound to happen. Aside from a few minor injuries, the contest was a huge success. Pure skateboarding mayhem went down along with some tunes and a few fireworks. Check out over 100 photos from the Pro ranks in the gallery.

The level of skating at this year’s Trifecta was exceptional and this week’s Monday Cover was one of the dudes stepping it up, Kevin Kowalski. Doing Team Bacon proud, Kevin placed in the top three at each of the events. If you were there, you know why; he killed it. Check out some more pics of Kevin at Battle Ground after the turn. Also, hats off to Hurley and the Trifecta crew for smooth running events along with laying down the prize money.
Congratulations Kevin!
March went out like a lion with respect to the weather here in Oregon. Speaking of lions, check out the mane on this week’s Monday Cover skater, Kevin Kowalski, as he gets stale in the snake pit. To reuse a phrase, call the doctor ’cause Kevin and the snake are both SICK!!! Be sure to check out the bonus sequences of Kevin as well.
Congratulations Kevin!

If you are thinking about breakfast, well here’s a little Bacon. Actually he’s not so little and he shreds just like your hash browns. It’s this week’s Monday Cover skater Kevin Kowalski. This fakie to frontside tail stall caught our attention. Kevin has style for miles and it shows. Mr. Bacon must be proud.
Congratulations Kevin!
