Fernhill Skatepark Benefit @ Extracto Coffee House

When the going gets tough, well, the tough get going. It’s time to build more skateparks folks and here’s your opportunity to contribute and/or get involved. On Thursday, Oct. 4th, from 6-8pm come check out over 60 images for sale in support of the Fernhill Skatepark at Extracto Coffee House. Don’t fret, if you can’t make the opening, the art will be up all month and available for purchase. A mere $35 per print with all proceeds going directly to making Fernhill skatepark a reality. Support Fernhill Park Skatepark - Design Inspirations: Isamu Noguchi

It’s that time of year when we start thinking about resolutions for the new year. So we thought, hey, why not start getting folks stoked about making the Fernhill Park Skatepark a reality. It’s time to build the next wave of parks as part of our 19 park system and there’s nothing like the present to start a dialog. Sleestock 2009 @ Hood River Skatepark - Earth Patrol Network

Good is the operative word. Sleestock – Version 4.0 went down last weekend at the Hood River Skatepark and it was all good. Local medical staff reported a bit of an increase in face reattachments due to folks shredding them off but outside of that…, yep, it was all good. Rain makers coming. Rain makers coming. Rain makers coming, to soak us with water. Yeah well, what else is new. Get over it and head on out to Hood River Skatepark for all that is Sleestock V. The fun starts tonight, Friday May 21st, and ends sometime Sunday in a drunken skate crescendo. EPM “Bobcat’s going to ollie the creek gap, switch” Out!

Sleestock 2009 @ Hood River Skatepark

If ever there was a Will Ferrell appropriate skate event, Sleestock is it. Not only does he star in the remake of Land of the Lost featuring Sleestaks, his character in Old School fits perfectly with the celebratory atmosphere that is Sleestock. So pack light (see required items in the above image) and shred your face-off. Don’t miss Sleestock v4.0 at the Hood River Skatepark this weekend, Saturday-Sunday, June 6-7, 2009. Hood River Skatepark - Hood River, Oregon

The word from the folks in Hood River is that the concrete pouring is done for now. It about time they took a break. At the rate they were going, the entire City of Hood River would have been a skatepark by Fall. Thanks to local skater and photographer, Carl Warren, for capturing some of the activity at the park.
