Drum roll please. Here it is folks, the R-Z installment of our alphabet of sound series. And yes, we found the perfect Z band, Indiana’s own Zero Boys. Who would you have included in your R-Z list: Sex Pistols, Replacements, U.S. Bombs? We want to know. See all the YouTube Tuesday jams after the turn.
Ramones – Blitzkrieg Bop
Stiff Little Fingers – Gotta Gettaway
TSOL – Code Blue
Undertones – My Perfect Cousin
Vibrators – Automatic Lover
Wire – Eardrum Buzz
X – Los Angeles

i wouldn’t have left SLF out but SNFU?
Can’t wait for the children’s book.
That Youth Brigade footage is from the Olympic Auditorium, one of my destinations if I had a time machine…Those Stearn brothers were HUGE drug dealers before they started the BYO!
SLF is probably my favorite all time band, I would have chose Vice Squad for V and Warsaw for W IMO. 😛
TomTener- have you heard “Jake Burns and the Big Wheel”? Jake’s very brief mid-eighties outfit? Its good – they had one single (that I know of) called “She Grew Up” – i play it alot. I like Bits of Kids too…
R: The Runaways
S: skinny puppy, sigue sigue sputnik, Suicidal Tendencies, Souxsie and the Banshees
T: Tears for fears (you already said “True sounds of liberty” wish I still had that t-shirt)
U: uniform choice
V: v um… Vixen? lol… how about Voivod
W: Wall of Voodoo
X: xtc
Y: yellow
Z: ziggy stardust (not a band)
I havent ill have too look for a track when I get home.

KVON is right Uniform choice for real!!
