Surprisingly the weather here in the Northwest has been tolerable with respect to precipitation. Having access to a spot like MC’s hide-away doesn’t hurt either. Youngest member of the in-search-of-dry-crete crew, Jack Grover, takes full advantage of these opportunities to shred. It’s all about having fun. Check out a few more shots of Jack doing his thing after the turn.

The word out of Memphis is that Jay Reatard has passed. If you enjoy high-energy, rapid fire music, Jay had you covered. Like so many others before him, we can only guess what might have been. Rest in peace Jay and thanks for sharing your music. In memory of Jay, here are some photos from a show at the Doug Fir lounge in the summer of 2008.

See one of Jay’s latest music videos along with a short documentary after the turn. Godspeed Jay.
Patience and persistence are paying off. This week’s Monday Cover, Steve Grover of GVK fame, is starting to find his bowl legs, so to speak. Instead of the usually hemming and hawing about not wanting to skate MC’s bowl in favor of more swing-set like terrain, Grover is carving out some new attitudes. Check out a few more pics of the new and improved Grover after the turn.
Congratulations Steve!
It’s time, once again, for a visit from our resident book reviewer, Dr. Brad Krohn. Up for review is Misery Obscura, the Photography of Errie Von. Enjoy all the eclectic literary delvings after the turn.
So you want to shoot some video but you don’t want it to cut into your skate time? Well, KC found a solution to this problem with a GoPro HD Helmet HERO video camera. After the turn, check out some video KC shot recently at Gabriel Park with his new found technology along with some bonus footage. EPM “Dramamine Ingested” Out!
We’re five days into 2010 but we are going to rewind to the late 70’s and early 80’s. This week’s YouTube Tuesday features the UK bands, Spizzenergi, The Members, The Skids, UK Subs, Generation X along with the sole US offering, The Plasmatics. Check out all the sounds after the turn. EPM “Electrical Tape Applied” Out!
Like Doc Brown said “Roads? Where we’re going, we don’t need roads.” Taking that to heart is this week’s Monday Cover skater, Shawn “McFly” Reinert, floating the gap at Brookings. Sometimes you have to look back to go forward. Check out more images along with some sequences of Shawn and his hover board after the turn.
Congratulations Shawn!
Happy New Year everyone! Here’s to a year of making contact with your skate to anything and everything. Hope to see you out there shredding it up. EPM “Arthur C. Clarke” Out!
