It seems Phase IV at the Lincoln City Skate Park is well underway. What is it? Well, it’s a snake run and it looks like it’s going to be fast and fun. Check out a few twilight pics of the progress after the turn.
Yep, we went to the premier of the first full-length Bacon Skateboards video and we snagged some pics just for you. The room was packed and the skate footage was insane. Be sure to check this video out and if there’s a premier near you, all the better. Here’s a trailer for your viewing pleasure.

Basalt flows and so does the Madras skate park in Madras, Oregon. This is another Dreamland gem and it’s well worth a visit when you are in the area. Check out the pics after the turn and thanks to Shawn and MC for being our skate park models. Striking a pose – EPM Out!
This week’s Monday Cover skater is Mike Shearer. If you have skated with Mike, you know what we mean by coping crusher. This guy punishes the lip with speed and authority. Check out this hurricane in the shallows of the Glenhaven peanut. Sick, sick, sick!

Come on over to the Clinton Corner Cafe tonight and get a dose of skateboarding. The folks at Bacon Skateboards are premiering their latest video at 8:30 p.m. And if one showing isn’t enough, you can walk down the street to the Clinton Street Theater and see it again; show starts at 10:45 p.m.
Also, Howard Weiner, who is running for Portland City Council, will be in attendance. Among many things, Howard is a skate activist and owner of CalSkates. So come on out, meet Howard and get a little civics along with your skate. See you there.
Always on the prowl for functional equipment, we managed to get our hands on a pair of ACE trucks and thought we would give you a visual side-by-side comparison with Independent trucks. It’s hard to consider riding anything other than Indy’s but the retro-Indy-esk design of the ACE trucks peaked our curiosity. See comparative pics of the trucks after the turn and thanks to Nick over at Daddies Board Shop for the excellent shots.
It’s almost winter and decent weather here in Oregon is at a premium. This week’s Monday Cover skater, Jen, found a small slice of weather nirvana and took advantage. Check out Jen as she lays down a styling frontside grind at Newberg. See a few more pics of Jen skating here and here.
